Over the years, City leaders have discussed the need to more thoroughly review and modify the Plan but determined that it was necessary to focus on other priorities. In August 2024, the City adopted amendments to its Comprehensive Plan to update the Vision Element as well as comply with changes to state statutes since the last evaluation of the Plan. The City is now ready to pursue elective changes to the Comprehensive Plan and has engaged the service of a consultant team to lead the planning effort: Johnson Engineering, LLC; Clarion Associates, LLC; CMA Outreach, Inc.; and Erin L.
